Sugamuxi Ring

This ring across the place where was the Sun Temple. I was happy in Boyaca, the landscapes, the food, the culture, the people, the town, the weather, everything is great.

When I was in Boyaca, I was in Sogamoso, Nobsa,Paipa ,Belen, Tibasosa, Iza, Aquitania,  and Mongui.

Sogamoso

Is the city of Sun and Steel, it’s a industrial city , Sogamoso is a history city of the Muisca Empire, the Temple of Sugamuxi was the richest in the región. In Sogamoso people are specialist making changua and potatoes soup. I visited the Muisca Museum where there are pre-columbian pieces in mud, traditional tissues and masks. With my family visited the Small Square of the Little Fountain, historic place of Boyacá from the time of independence, Archeological Museum Eliecer Silva Celis and the Sun Temple. My family and me were in Sun and Steel Holidays. Sogamoso is a central town where you can go to various places in the province.

 

Nobsa

it’s the town of the traditional tissues. In Nobsa celebrated the Festivals of the Ruana, Carranga and Vallenato. In Nobsa there are beautifull landscapes where people can make hiking.When I was for the first time in Christmas, in Nobsa people made a Jesus’s birth scene, the figures could move. In Nobsa we visited the Popular Art Museum and the Main Square. We were a short time there.

Tibasosa 

This place is calm and security, in Tibasosa is the feijoa festival, a typical fruit of the region, with the feijoa all kinds of desserts are made, the zoo park Guatika is there, the animals have large rural cages. We were in Guatica Hill and old woman’s fountain.

Mongui

It’s a beautiful place, the town have a colonial architecture, is a town where have the tradition to make leather balls. Mongui make the better balls of the world, being these balls used in soccer world cup. In Mongui, we were in Calicanto Bridge, a typical colonial construction, it was made with lime, sand, beef blood and molasses. We visited Basilica and cloister of our Lady of Monguí, it’s a beautiful construction built in 17^th century and is a Colombia Cultural Heritage.

 

Aquitania

When we went to Aquitania, we were in Whale Island and White Beach, the Tota Lagoon is large and surrounded by green mountains, I loved the curies Paramo.

Iza

It’s a traditional place, the architecture is colonial, and this place is characterized by desserts and the agriculture. We walked with the streets seeing the landscapes, the town, we visited the Chapel of the Savior, Alvaro Diaz Gomez Park and the Ecological Park.
 
 
 

Belen

Well I made my dream,now I know the cheese town, I want to come back. Belen is a cattle town, its attractive is its nature, the lagoons and lakes, the hills and the paramos. We went to Black Lagoon and Big Lagoon.

Paipa

It’s the Almojabanas town. When we were there, we visited Valentin Garcia acoustic Shell, Sochagota Lake, a tourist place where you can ride a ship and enjoy the landscape, also you can ride jet ski, we were in the Vargas swamp Monument, in this place the battle of the fourteen spearmen happened.Also we visited the “Hacienda El Salitre” and the Paipa Hot Springs.
